When Doug McMilliam wanted to find a new source of gaylords for his company's operations he turned to the Minnesota Materials Exchange. Mercury Waste Solutions used gaylords in its warehouse to collect scrap metal from the fluorescent bulbs it recycled. After talking with Exchange staff he contacted a company in Farmington and obtained several shipments of used boxes. According to McMilliam the company was able to save $650 and received good quality gaylords needed for its operation.
